Will Duggins

Chapter Treasurer

I was born in St. Joseph, Missouri and attended college at Missouri State University and graduate school at the University of Tulsa where I obtained a Masters in Geology. I left the flatlands of the mid-west for a career in Denver, CO and the Rocky Mountains and have enjoyed the dry heat and sunny days ever since. I have worked basins from California to the Mid-Con with a focus on the Rockies Powder River and Bighorn Basins. My past 8 years at a small independent E&P company has allowed me to work multiple facets of the industry from geology and geophysics to operations, reservoir engineering, and financial asset analysis. I come back to geology as a primary interest due to the creativity, storytelling, and abstract thinking needed to envision reservoirs and depositional environments that have led to hydrocarbon accumulations.

In my spare time I enjoy creating maps in ArcGIS, skiing, golfing, and watching the Kansas City Chiefs trounce the Broncos.
