Lauren Box

Chapter Vice President

“I’ve been working in Oil & Gas for about 20 years.  My background is primarily in the safety market with an emphasis on safety and catalyst services.  I first became involved with OC through Sarge Summers.  He and I have stayed in contact over the years and have helped each other out where we could.  When he spoke about the vision he had for OC, I knew I would love to be a part of this organization.  I feel like OC is the perfect place to connect with my peers who offer support and encouragement.  A group as strong and as large as OC is invaluable for finding out what’s happening within the Oil & Gas industry and providing new ideas for future business.  I’m very excited to be working with this collaborative and knowledgeable group!

In my free time, I enjoyed spending time with my family – my husband Stephen and my two daughters Harper & Hunter.  We especially love to go fishing at our bay house in Matagorda!”

Ken Hacker

Ken Hacker is the Division Manager of Major Projects for Inspection Associates, Inc.  He also holds the position of Training Manager and Health and Safety Officer.  He has recently retired from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years of honorable service.  Although new to the oil and gas industry, he brings over 20 years of managerial and leadership experience to the table. In addition, he has a full spectrum of experience in operations, project, security, safety, logistical, risk management / mitigation, and quality / production control spanning multiple logistical, aviation, and administrative levels in both combat and non-combat environments.

Ken was born in Corpus Christi, TX and raised in Montgomery County, TX.  After his Marine Corps retirement, he now resides in Magnolia, TX.  He is a blessed father of a beautiful 11-year-old daughter, Addison Hacker.

I have been fortunate to have recently completed an internship through the Department of Defense Skillbridge Program, with Inspection Associates, Inc.  Upon the completion of the internship I was offered and accepted a full-time position, thus beginning my new career in the oil and gas industry.  The opportunity that this internship has offered, has been vital in the smooth transition from the last 20 years of my military service to my now new career.  In addition to continuing to grow in this new career field, I am determined to continue to strive to be a staunch veteran’s advocate.  I am honored to be accepted to the position of Veteran’s Affairs Officer for the Houston West chapter of OCI.  I look forward to the education and mentorship provided from not only the OCI leadership team, but from each person that has chosen to be a part of the OCI family.
