Jeff is the Vice President of Sales at Roseland Oil & Gas and is also President/CEO of Shale Energy Resources. Jeff is also the President of the Oilfield Connections Networking Group in the Haynesville Shale.
Jeff is married to his wife Miranda and has three children, Lane 22, Ty 18 and Landry 12. In his free time, Jeff enjoys tournament bass fishing, golfing and spending time at home with his family.
Chapter Vice President
Miranda Kennedy is the Executive Director Of Marketing and Business Development at Shale Energy Resources. She has served in a similar capacity for Roseland Oil & Gas for over three years. Prior to Roseland Oil and Gas, Miranda owned her own small business for 19 years. She and her husband, Jeff Kennedy, started Shale Energy Resources in June of 2018 and have expanded it into a full time career opportunity.
Miranda has five sons and one daughter-in-law. She enjoys reading and traveling. In her spare time, she has an online t-shirt and women's fashion business LoulaLynn.
I began my career with Cudd in Corpus Christi, Texas, working in coiled tubing. I also worked for Preeminent Energy Services and OSCA. I was fortunate enough to work in Venezuela and Mexico for extended periods. Through acquisitions I started working for BJ Services in 2002. With hard work and determination, I was able to advance my career and BJ Services relocated me to East Texas in 2006 for a management position. I was the District Manager and Operations Supervisor for BJ until 2009 when Baker Hughes purchased BJ Services. In 2016 I took some time away from the oilfield and I worked in heavy equipment and heavy truck maintenance. In 2019, I had the opportunity to get back into the industry, where I continue to serve as the District Manager of Redback Coil Tubing. I am excited to be a part of the Oilfield Connections Haynesville chapter, where I am currently the Treasurer.
Franki Osburn is the business development manager for Iron Horse services serving the oil and gas market nationwide for mixing plants and productions/completion chemicals. From sales to business account manager, Franki has been able to increase revenues, volume and extend territories up to the Appalachia in just 2.5 short years that she’s been in the oil and gas industry.
Prior to the O&G industry, for 12 years she was a business owner of a promotional company and plaintiff personal injury legal assistant in downtown Tyler, TX where she was able to volunteer and help run and manage natural disaster benefits. From many local tornadoes, the West Explosion, raising money for families of the sick, her most appreciative moment was to be a dispatcher for Hurricane Harvey where she teamed up with NASA. This passion is what made her eager to join the OCI team for Haynesville Shale.
During her off time, she enjoys her own nice piece of heaven working cows, fishing and hunting with her three sons. She strives in teaching them how to live off the land and treat people with the upmost integrity and respect all while putting God first! Romans 12:2.
Chapter Media Officer
Chancelee Edney has been on the business development side of the oil and gas industry for over 15 years and is currently Business Development Manager for Target Hospitality. From sales to VP of Business Development to owning her own company, Chancelee has built and expanded a large array of customers across Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. Her love and passion for the oil and gas industry shines through her dedication to her work and her customers as well as her photography. Chancelee holds a general business degree from Kilgore College and a Business Development Certification from Allison University. From the field to the office, Chancelee has extensive industry knowledge and experience which help her navigate and offer solutions quickly and responsibly.
When Chancelee’s not working she’s chasing her highly active 17 and 13 year old boys all over the country. Between baseball, football, golf, sporting clays and dirt bike racing, her boys keep her on the go! Her traveling partner and furry canine companion, Whiskey, is almost always by her side at work and at play.
Josh Pipak, General Manager of Operations and East Texas Division Manager for Inspection Associates, Inc. began his career in Non-Destructive Testing in 2002 when he enlisted into the United States Air Force as an E-1. During his 10 years of service with the USAF, he received extensive training in multiple disciplines of NDT as well as Leadership training that he said has contributed to his success today. He was awarded the “Distinguished Graduate” award from the USAF Air Education & Training Command in 2003, and a diploma from Air University in 2007.
In 2006, he was deployed to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan where he served during Operation Enduring Freedom. During this period he was awarded the Commendation Medal for Outstanding Achievement as well as the Afghanistan Campaign medal and other unit awards. At the time of his Honorable Discharge he had achieved the Non-Commissioned Officer rank of E-6 Technical Sergeant with the USAF.
Josh later went on to work for a local NDT company, where he started as an Asst. RSO, then quickly moved to Operations Manager, General Manager, and then becoming Vice President until 2016. Since then, he has assisted with the growth of numerous NDT companies that are still in business today. In January of 2019 he joined the team at Inspection Associates, Inc. and continues to help them grow their client base and operations throughout the CONUS. Josh joined OCI this year to become a part of something great and that helps Veterans and people not only succeed professionally but personally as well.
Josh is an East Texas native that grew up in Hallsville, Tx and now resides in Kilgore, TX. Josh and his wife Emily, have two amazing children that attend Kilgore High School and that are active in Varsity baseball and cheerleading.
Scott Brown is the lead pastor of Grace Church in Kilgore, Texas. He was a Missionary to Mexico for 7 years, a successful Business Owner, Real Estate Investor, and serves as a John Maxwell Certified Coach, Trainer and Speaker. He enjoys helping individuals grow personally and professionally, taking them and their organizations to the next level.
Scott is a sought-after speaker at corporate events, trainings, and conferences. He has traveled nationally and internationally speaking to business and community leaders on “Transformation through Communication and Motivation.”
Scott has written several E-books such as Time Matters, Micro-Habits, The Freedom of Self-Discipline, Pivot; Is It Time For A Change?, andHabitual Happiness.
But more importantly, Scott has been married to his wife, Gayla, for more than 26 years and they have 3 beautiful daughters and a granddaughter.
