Chapter Leadership

Paula Gay

Chapter President

I’m excited for the opportunity to be part of the leadership team for the Golden Triangle Chapter of Oilfield Connections International.  I’m looking forward to meeting new people, networking and being more involved with the O&G community.  It’s great to be part of a group of Christians who still believe in giving God the glory for all that we are and all we have; we start each meeting with the pledge of allegiance and prayer.

I’ve been in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industry for over 23 years and am currently Business Development for STIR – Spindletop Training & Industrial Resources, LLC.  STIR provides training for Safety, Environmental, Crane & Rigging, as well as Emergency Response, and Safety Consulting.

Savannah Rose

Chapter Vice - President

“Originally from Louisiana, Savannah just recently moved to Texas to further her career in the Oil & Gas industry. Through her relentless determination and desire to see more women in upper management, she quickly climbed the ladder from territory manager to business owner. She is now the sole owner of Midstream Mats & Rentals, which provides a variety of access mats and rentals for the midstream and downstream markets. Savannah prides herself on shattering glass ceilings and the stereotypes associated with women in male-dominated fields.

In addition to her vast work ethic, Savannah has a strong and deep-rooted passion for adoption, mental health awareness, and equality for women in the work force. Her hobbies include cooking, hunting, and spending time with her dogs, Bear and Snowball. She is an avid reader and enjoys discussing philosophical ideologies over a glass of wine.

Savannah’s point of focus for 2021 is to effectively provide leadership and networking opportunities for others in the O&G industry while producing maximum growth in business as well as personal life. “

Trey Assunto

My name is Trey Assunto.   I was born in Houston and raised in Beaumont when my parents moved to Beaumont to take over and run the Men's Discount Shop on 11th street. I come from a large family with nearly 55 people on my Dad's side and 80 people on my Mom's side, first cousins only.   Being from South Louisiana, my family is Cajun and Italian making for some tasty meals, dancing like nobody's watching and spirited debates.

I was fortunate enough to grow up in a house where love abounded and was introduced to Christ at a young age.   However, I did not always follow Christ and did my own thing until the age of 29 when a failed marriage pushed me down a path of historic lows.

In October of 2002 I gave my life to Christ and then in 2006 met my current wife Joy of almost 15 years.   We have two beautiful children, both of which are adopted and have amazing testimonies themselves.   We are residents of Sour Lake TX and enjoy most of our free time in and near water, bluewater fishing, inshore fishing, skiing and pleasure cruising.

I have worked in the oil and gas sector for almost 23 years selling valves, actuators and sight glasses.   I left my former company, in 2019, to start my own company and by God's grace and provision we are surviving one of the toughest years to be in business.  We exist to further the Gospel, in whatever way the Good Shepherd lays on our heart.   We measure success by the number of feet washed and the number of hearts changed.   The rest, in my opinion, is only the vehicle.
