POSITION TITLE: Regional Sales Director US
COMPENSATION: Competitive salary DOE + generous commissions plan + vehicle allowance
LOCATION: Houston, Dallas, St. Louis or Chicago
SUMMARY: This position needs a strong industry background and management experience who will drive sales growth with actively managing a sales team of Regional Sales Managers through distribution partners in their regions. Maintains the overall relationship of the accounts, mentoring and leading the sales team and collaboraring with company leadership, creating value and client engagement at all levels of the organization while strategically building and growing company's brand and services to their maximum potential.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Substantial leadership developing sales teams in a distribution world. Can either be from distribution or manufacturing background.
Drive sales growth through managing sales team with distribution partners supporting their sales and marketing efforts
Provide field level support conducting end-user calls with distributor sales representatives
Support distribution through the entire sales process from initial contact to purchase order and transition to the implementation team
Ongoing generation of new opportunities, both with distribution and directly with end-users, contributing to sales funnel growth to support sales quota achievement
Timely follow up on leads created by generation efforts
Identify and qualify new distribution as required to ensure appropriate geographic and vertical market coverage
Generate new business by developing customer relationships in their regions and vertical markets
Attend industry trade shows promoting the brand growth, industry networking, securing new leads, and enhancing relationships with existing clients
Provide weekly pipeline opportunity updates to Director of Sales including progress on specific distribution opportunities and status of prospective end-user clients
Self-motivated, critical thinker with a proven ability to execute strategic sales plans
Results focused demonstrated through consistent success in increasingly senior sales roles
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships
Demonstrated network of clients which can lead to immediate opportunities
Strong background of strategic account management as a manufacturer representative or distributing sales
Experience selling complex, strategic business solutions
High proficiency with CRM software
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5-8 years B2B sales management with a distributor or manufacturer selling complex services or products
Experience selling gas detection or safety-related services is considered a benefit
Good knowledge and general industry contacts
A track record of success increasing market share through direct selling and managing a sales team to secure net new business through a distribution business model
Must have strong technical aptitude to discuss complex products with clients
Travel availability of 50%
Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal, communication (verbal, written and listening) persuasion, presentation, and relationship building skills in order to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts. Ability to modify communication and presentation style in order to relate to a variety of people and personalities.

Must possess high ethical standards demonstrated by their approach to business.
