POSITION TITLE: Technical Sales Specialist
COMPENSATION: Competitive salary DOE + generous commissions plan +vehicle mileage
LOCATION: Houston or Beaumont, TX
SUMMARY: Drives sales growth through distribution partners in their region. Maintains the overall relationship of the accounts, creating value and client engagement at all levels of the organization while strategically building and growing company's brand and services to their maximum potential.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive sales growth through distribution partners by supporting their sales and marketing effortsProvide field level support conducting end-user calls with distributor sales representativesSupport distribution through the entire sales process from initial contact to purchase order and transition to the implementation teamOngoing generation of new opportunities, both with distribution and directly with end-users, contributing to sales funnel growth to support sales quota achievementTimely follow up on leads created by generation effortsIdentify and qualify new distribution as required to ensure appropriate geographic and vertical market coverageGenerate new business by developing customer relationships in their regions and vertical marketsAttend industry trade shows promoting the brand growth, industry networking, securing new leads, and enhancing relationships with existing clientsProvide weekly pipeline opportunity updates to Director of Sales including progress on specific distribution opportunities and status of prospective end-user clients
Self-motivated, critical thinker with a proven ability to execute strategic sales plans
Results focused demonstrated through consistent success in increasingly senior sales roles
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships
Demonstrated network of clients which can lead to immediate opportunities
Strong background of strategic account management as a manufacturer representative or distributing sales
Experience selling complex, strategic business solutions
High proficiency with CRM software
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years B2B with a distributor or manufacturer selling complex services or productsExperience selling gas detection or analyzers is considered a benefitA track record of success increasing market share and securing net new business through a distribution business modelMust have strong technical aptitude to discuss complex products with clientsTravel availability of 50% within assigned regionDemonstrates a high level of interpersonal, communication
Must be even-tempered, sharp, personable, likeable, organized, energetic and enjoy serving others
Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
