Kate Hornbrook, Technical Manager, Ace Completions, LLC
Kate graduated from Marietta College in 2016 with a BS in Petroleum Engineering and a minor in Chemistry. Originally an Ohio native, she moved out to the Permian Basin in September of 2018.
She began her oil and gas career with a small, private company, wearing multiple hats in engineering, lab work, technical sales and field work. Now, she has narrowed her field of work and is currently the Technical Manager at Ace Completions, working on chemical formulations, field trials, problem solving, and troubleshooting technical issues.
Kate began coming to Oilfield Connections meetings in the Fall of 2019. She began as the secretary for the OC Permian Basin group, and has recently become the Chapter President.
Travis became the Treasurer for the OC Permian Basin Chapter in July of 2020. He is the General Manager for Mulholland Energy Services in Midland, TX. As a former paramedic, Travis' safety and risk mitigation knowledge have translated well into his second career in oil and gas and there is no other industry he would rather be a part of.
A Permian Basin native, Travis strongly believes in strengthening networking relationships in the area. Committed to lifetime learning, he holds an MBA from Texas Tech University and is currently enrolled in a post-graduate finance program at Johns Hopkins University.
Haylie Rodriguez was born in West Texas and raised in South Texas before returning to the Permian Basin. Education was sourced from David L. Carrasco Job Corp in El Paso Texas, where Haylie received her GED and excelled in Arc Welding. After mastering the environment of mixology and service Haylie approach the land surveying supply industry. The vast world of survey and mapping technology and supply has become a true passion. Haylie began as an administrative assistant for the Odessa, Texas location and was later promoted to Office Manager. Advanced Geodetic Surveys, Inc. has seen immense growth within the last two years and Haylie’s efforts continue to provide ever-changing advancements. Through Networking and OCPB the possibilities seem endless and the confidence is on the rise.
Wes Johnson, Account Manager, EquipmentShare
Wes, originally from the Rio Grande Valley, moved to West Texas in 2004. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Science in 2009 and moved back to the Permian in 2010.
He began his role working with the Oil and Gas industry in 2016 when he became an outside sales representative for Blueline Rental. After being acquired by United Rentals in 2019, Wes became a key account manager specifically working with the upstream market. He recently became an account manager with EquipmentShare in Carlsbad, NM, focusing on the industry in the southern NM region.
Wes began coming to Oilfield Connections meetings in 2020 and joined the leadership team, as the membership chair, in February of 2021.
Community Outreach / Charities Chair
Heath is a Midland native that graduated from Robert E Lee High School then graduated from Texas Tech University with a BS in Agricultural Economics. Heath moved back to Midland in 2018 and began his oil and gas career working for Cudd Energy Services as a salesman. He now works for Big Country Equipment, always striving for excellent customer service, product knowledge and growing his business relationships throughout the entire country. Heath is also very involved with other non-profit groups such as Ducks Unlimited, being the president of the Texas Tech chapter for two years, and the Texas Youth Hunting Program.
Dalton graduated from Louisiana State University in 2017 with a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering and a minor in Geology. Growing up primarily in Houston, he moved out to the Permian Basin directly following graduation. He completed his M.S. in Natural Gas Engineering and Management from the University of Oklahoma in 2020.
He began his career working for a large artificial lift company, completing a training program in artificial lift services focusing on electrical submersible pumps. He has focused on sales and connection building throughout the Bakken, DJ, and Permian basins the past few years and currently works for Extract Production serving artificial lift systems.
Dalton has attended Oilfield Connection meetings since 2019. He serves as the Event Chair for both the OC Permian Basin chapter, as well as the Society of Petroleum Engineers Young Professionals.
"Knowledgeable and a well-rounded, Sid was born and raised in Andrews, TX. He went on to obtain his BBA in Management from The University of Texas of the Permian Basin in December 2016. Not too long after, he obtained his Master's in Business Administration from the same university in May 2018, relocating to Midland, TX shortly after.
With a proven track record in management, sales, and naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM), he has accrued 4 years of NORM, and 2 years of drilling sales experience. He has been a part of OCI since the summer of 2020."
Derrick Clark, Co- Owner/Business Development, Pinnacle Contract Services, LLC.
Originally from the Houston area, Derrick relocated to the Permian Basin in 2015, starting his career in the oil and gas industry. His main focus over the past 5 years has been to establish and grow business relationships from all sectors of oil and gas. While working in the Permian, he has spent most of his career in the equipment industry, starting with rentals and sales, to now providing maintenance and repair services.
Derrick has been a member of OCI since November of 2019 but recently became co-chair over memberships for the Permian Basin Chapter.
David Chavez, Manager/Sales, DCJ Services, LLC; Agape Radio Ministry, Associate Minister
David, a born and raised West Texan. After graduating high school in Midland Tx, set out to Bible college and completed his ministerial studies at Mount Zion School of ministry.
As a credentialed minister having held different offices with different ministries from Youth Pastor to Associate Pastor. That road would take him from Colorado, Montana, and transiting his way back to West Texas.
The experience he has obtained in the oilfield has been diverse but but the bulk coming from doing sales and helping manage a construction company for over a decade.
