General Information/Job Summary
Directly manage the day to day operations of Electrical Services
Responsibilities/Competencies
· Oversee project manager work assignments, performance, and project execution
· Develop and execute construction strategies, commercial options, and execution methodologies
· Implement training across all Construction Operations assigned
· Collaborate with affiliate construction organizations, surfacing conflicts for resolution, eliminating redundancy, and coordinating and collaborating on development and deployment of resources
· Collaborate with the General Manager of Electrical Services regarding assignment, compensation, and demobilization for salaried personnel
· Develop operating budgets
· Manage electrical construction manpower
· Understand customer needs and expectations and represent such internally to Company
· Supervise 7 – 10 Project managers and all field Supervision.
· Provide ethical leadership that exemplifies the values of Company Industries, the standards of behavior expected of all Company management and an open door approach to innovation and improvement
· Provide visible leadership and commitment to HSE compliance at every level to insure the defined expectation of injury free project performance is met
· Collaborate and partner with the General Manager of Electrical Services and Business Development in identifying potential business/markets, customer strategies, and methods to increase market share
· Provide the leadership, vision and direction for the successful development and growth of the Company Electrical Services Odessa Division
· Ensure projects are executed in accordance with specified goals of cost, schedule, quality and performance
· Monitor and maintain sound internal processes that enable efficient and effective execution of project deliverables
· Provide accurate forecasts for project performance and cash flow
· Ensure client satisfaction with project deliverables
· Support established SI programs and processes to ensure full collaboration within and among the Company departments and the Company organization
· Provide clear performance expectations, support, and development of management staff
· Ensure workforce training initiatives are implemented at the field level insuring the continued use of quality craft personnel
Requirements
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
· Minimum of an Associate's degree in a relevant field or the completion of a journeyman program required and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
· 5 plus years of experience managing operations groups
· 10 plus years of experience managing large instrument and electrical construction projects
· Demonstrated success in management of operations groups
· Extensive industrial industry client contacts a plus
· Estimating experience a plus
· Able to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
· Self-motivated with skills to motivate others
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong computer skills
· Willingness to Travel to Job Sites – Approximately 20%
